Jungle Beach

Wave pool and jungle beach constructed on a back lot in Georgia.

The process

The set was created to facilitate a nighttime amphibious attack on an isolated beach. My team excavated the wave pool to engineered specs and built the jungle which consisted of over 400 palm trees brought in from South Florida.

The assignment:

Stage Jungle

Jungle created on a soundstage as a continuation of the amphibious attack scene in the wave pool.

The process:

We built into the set the ability to do changeovers to different areas of the scripted journey. Elements included a river, road, village and jungle camps. Part of the building process involved an extensive irrigation system and removable grow lights.
